My friends, the past 48 hours of my life were amazing.  A great lesson was learned, a great love regained, and a new sense of freedom has been born.  With that 2 major events to speak of today:

 1. Today SalemGlobal Internet Marketing (www.salemglobal.com), moved into our new offices @ 70 West 40th Street and right outside the door is Bryant Park.

2. I stopped drinking coffee today, like smoking, an additction, I am going to try for ONE month to not drink coffee TEA only.

Our dear SalemGlobal (www.salemglobal.com) Website Marketing friends, as we prepare to move offices in Bryant Park our last Networking Breakfast was held in our West 45th Street office.  We had a great group of folks from Credit Card Processors to Debt Collectors to our new client, Bill Gilbert of AHS (http://www.ahsrcm.com/).  It was great to meet Bill, just take a look at his bio:

William Gilbert, Vice President Marketing
Mr. Gilbert has extensive experience growing high-tech organizations by building and expanding customer focus. At AHS, he is responsible for all aspects of marketing and product management.  Until recently, Bill served as Vice President, Business Development for Vibrant Solutions, a provider of Business Intelligence analytics. Previously, he was a Partner at the Venture Consulting Group, a management consultancy helping high-tech companies grow. Earlier, he worked for AT&T, leading customer focused start-up initiatives, product development, and product management for business customers in the US and internationally.  Mr. Gilbert has attended advanced executive programs at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and the Brookings Institute and has Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Iowa State University.

And take a look at the great picture of Raphi Salem and Bill.

North Jersey Speakers

Washington Mutual Breakfast Series has just appointed CEO Raphi Salem as a speaker.  Look for him June 1st!

SPEAKER Raphi Salem

Raphi is currently the CEO of SalemGlobal Internet (www.salemglobal.com). Since 1997, his firm has marketed, consulted on and produced over 300 websites and blogs for companies, corporations and non-profits of all sizes. Raphi is also the founder of JewishWeb.com, a portal for the Jewish community, JudaicaStore.com, an ecommerce store within the niche, MarketingDirectories.com, an online industry-specific web directory, and The Seminar Series, a monthly lecture and workshop series where he speaks and teaches business people how to get more out of their websites. During his career in technology and website marketing, Raphi has provided solutions for American Express Publishing, Reader’s Digest, David’s Cookies, The Jewish Week of New York, and The Jewish Telegraphic Agency (amongst many others whom you have not heard of). Raphi conducts seminars and speaks regularly to national organizations about website optimization and internet marketing.

Past speaking engagements have been with the National Resume Writers Association, American Jewish Press Association, Queens College and Baruch College. Prior to starting his own company, Raphi was a marketing manager for OLiVR Corporation, purchased by LivePicture Inc. during the summer of 1997. Raphi graduated from Queens College/CUNY with a BA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and with a minor in communications, media and advertising. After internships at BBDO Advertising and NBC Television, Raphi worked for Cable Networks, Inc. a subsidiary of Cablevision. From his experience in NY, Raphi moved to Israel to become the Sales Manager for CNN International through a representative firm called Direct Satellite Television. Raphi has served in the Israel Defense Forces as an Academic Officer and an Assistant Organizational Psychologist.

 A five-time NYC marathon finisher, Raphi would like to believe he is still currently writing his first book paralleling the marathon running community and the Jewish community. He has pretty much stopped trying to break into the world of stand up comedy and entertainment, especially after he was rejected from the cast of Donald Trump’s Apprentice. Finally, he does like to remember that he has an idea for a children’s educational character that will rival Sesame Street, Big Bird and Elmo.

The Life and Times of…
icon1 Michael Findling | icon2 Uncategorized | icon4 04 17th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

Peter Sellers never knew who he really was.  He did have four wives.  When he died at 54 there was one thing in his wallet, a picture of his first wife Anne.  Peter Sellers could play 100 different people on screen and not one real person in life.  In the past few months of my life I have come to learn the most profitable and clear way to enjoy life is to be just that: one person, the person you are, the person you want to be and to be present of those around you.

 I have a blessing and a curse.  I have a great deal of passion for certain people, and ideals, projects, industry - I’ve found my calling. I’m blessed that I have great business partners in Raphi Salem and Dov Weinstock of SalemGlobal (www.salemglobal.com) - truly I am.   I would like to pass on this bit of advice to friends that I can:Life is a series of options, choices, values, decisions and risk.  The bigger the risk, the greater the reward.  I mention Peter Sellers (not only because I watched a film about him the other day), but the sensation he felt so greatly as an adult, even with fame of being the Pink Panther and other characters, was that he felt alone.  If you can not be happy with yourself, then you will always feel alone.  Be more, go for more, want more - never settle.  To those that I know this means the greatest to, you are the biggest risk, and I hope to be each others greatest reward.

It only took seven years
icon1 Michael Findling | icon2 Uncategorized | icon4 04 14th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

I live on 90th & Columbus.  I left the building and ended taking the train back at High Street in Brooklyn Heights.  That was only 12.1 miles.  After seven years I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, I never did that.  So I took some pictures.

SEO, Ellie and RAIN?!?
icon1 Michael Findling | icon2 Uncategorized | icon4 04 12th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

I have complaints to the man upstairs.  I have a gorgeous apartment in New York City, really I do.  This view is amazing, but I am looking at what I can only describe is out of a 1984 novel or a Stephen King dialouge.  Where is the sun?  Where is the warmth?  Al Gore, you might be on to something here.

The parnters and are off to the Search Enginge Strategies Confrence today in New York City: http://sesnewyork.rtrk.com.  I expect it to actually be interesting.  SalemGlobal Internet Website Marketing (www.salemglobal.com) is growing man, we’re growing and if you happen to find my blog and curious about what this means, drop me a line, findling67@yahoo.com.  Here is what they say I should learn more about:

  • How search engines list web sites for free and through paid placements;
  • How to get free “organic” traffic by building a site that pleases search engines and your visitors;
  • How to efficiently purchase listings guaranteed to rank your company at the top of search engine results;
  • How to calculate the roi of your search marketing efforts by tracking your visitors from the time they hit your site until they buy—and get tips on improving conversion if they don’t!
  • How to build links that generate traffic to your web site, and how to avoid the penalties of “spamming” the search engines;
  • What’s coming next in the constantly evolving world of web search, and how you can profit from those changes.
  •  Lastly, Ellie goes for the geese!

     Hope everyeone has a great day!
